Why should I buy a harmonica which costs more than ten times as much as one that does well for playing anything I want and everything I need?

The ergo harmonica is pure luxury. You don't have to buy one if it seems too costly for you.

The current models have worked for me so far as well and I guess they will do so for quite some more time.

But be aware that touching a ergo harmonica is highly addictive.

Why are some holes on some harmonicas round and others square?

There is 40 to 60 hours of work in each of these prototypes. I had to file them square by hand and simply was too lazy at some of the harps.

There is to say that the lower the notes are the bigger the channel should be to have a big tone. So I saved this work at some higher notes.

The later serial instruments will all feature square holes.
